The MOPA Advantage: Why It Excels at Polymers:
Standard fiber lasers have a fixed pulse duration (the length of time the laser beam touches the material). MOPA lasers allow you to adjust the pulse duration from ultra-short (a few nanoseconds) to much longer durations. This variability changes everything when working with polymers:
Cold Laser Marking:
By utilizing incredibly short pulse durations, the laser interacts with the plastic so quickly that heat doesn't have time to spread to the surrounding material. This prevents warping, melting, and charring.
